Welcome to NCBC

Our goal is to grow together in a living, dynamic relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, to follow the voice of the Shepherd in all things, and to live in committed service to each other and to our surrounding community as we commit ourselves to our Lord and His teachings. We are not a huge church or a "seeker" church. We avoid worship styles that tend toward the trivial and the worldly. Our goal is to make our teaching, our church ministry, and our music biblically sound and honoring to God. We invite you to join us for committed, vibrant fellowship that seeks above all else to be pleasing to Him.

Our Motto

We are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ; for, as the Apostle Paul says, "it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes" (Rom 1:16). Conversely, we stand with the apostle in condemning anyone who distorts the gospel by adding works as a condition to justification before God (Gal 1:8-9). We therefore not only reject, but utterly detest the attempt by some modern evangelical churches to build bridges to Roman Catholicism and other religious groups whose gospel similarly falls under the condemnation of Scripture.
We believe the Word of God is to be known, understood, believed and obeyed by all men. We therefore make it our goal to teach Scripture with clarity and precision by accurately handling the Word of truth and faithfully proclaiming the whole counsel of God, shedding light on the original meaning of Scriptures by use of the original languages of Scripture.
We believe that the primary role of the Christian minister is to prepare the members of his church for the work of the ministry (Eph 4:11-12). He accomplishes this role by relying on Scripture to teach, rebuke, correct, and train in righteousness (2 Tim 3:15-17), with a view to the building up of the church, so that its members are "no longer children, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of doctrine" (Eph 4:13-14).
We believe the chief goal of man and the goal of the church is to honor, magnify, and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ. We therefore reject any activity or teaching that trivializes, demeans, or in any other way dishonors the name of Jesus Christ, his work of redemption, his gospel, his word, or his church.
