1. Recognize you are separated
from God because of your sin: "For all have sinned and fall
short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23).
2. Turn away from your sin and
turn to Jesus Christ: "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be
saved" (Rom 10:13). 3. "Believe
in the Lord Jesus, and you shall be save" (Acts 16:31). Jesus is
God in the flesh, who died for our sins and rose from the dead. To
"believe in" means not merely to believe the facts about Jesus; it
means to trust Him fully for your salvation, committing your life to
Him, and entering into a personal relationship with Him; "for
whoever will call upon the name of the Lord will be saved" (Rom
10:13).
“God has given us eternal life,
and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who
does not have the Son of God does not have life" (1 John
5:11-12). |
